WELCOME TO THE GATEWOOD PTA

HOME OF THE GATORS

The Gatewood PTA in an independent 501(c)3 organization dedicated to meeting the needs and advancing the interests of the students, teachers, and parents of Gatewood Elementary School and its surrounding community.

Thank you for supporting our school!

Our auction was a huge success- raising more money than we ever have before - and all of it goes to supporting our children at Gatewood and our West Seattle Community.

We still have some great adventures and events still up to purchase as well as auction pins and posters! And don’t forget to see if your company matches your donated funds.

Learning Garden
Monthly Bonus

This Monthly Bonus is titled “Earth Day reading of Our Planet! There’s No Place Like Earth”. This book, written by Stacy McAnulty and illustrated by David Litchfield, is a part of the Our Universe series. It gives the Earth a voice to teach us fun facts about our planet including how humans have accidentally moved climate change into the fast lane. With this reading I encourage students to look for ways that they can “invest in our planet” including taking part in the school-wide challenge to pick up at least 10 pieces of trash from outside. The book will be donated to the school library if students wish to explore the pages for themselves or read it with their friends and family.
